WHAT IS AMM?
A competition series for students who love hard problems
The American Masters of Mathematics competitions encourage students to think deeply, explore approaches, and explain ideas. Expert graders look beyond numerical answers to recognize meaningful progress, and careful proctoring helps ensure fair results.
The AMM Local Competition (AMM-L) will be held on January 17 and is hosted simultaneously by over 40 sites across the country. AMM-L is open to anyone in grades 8-12 who wishes to participate.
The American Masters of Mathematics (AMM) national competition will be held over Memorial Day Weekend, May 28-31, and gathers this country's top 250 math students and their families in Denver for an unforgettable weekend of competition and festivities. To participate, students must apply for entry or achieve a qualifying score on the AMM-L.
