In May 2026, OMEGA hosted the inaugural American Masters of Mathematics in Denver, Colorado. The competition portion consisted of an in-person, carefully proctored 4.5-hour exam with 5 proof-based problems, followed by review meetings during which contestants discussed their solutions with pairs of expert judges.
Beyond the math competition, students learned from mathematicians like Ravi Vakil and Melanie Matchett Wood, while parents joined a fireside chat hosted by AoPS Founder/CEO Richard Rusczyk. Students and families also took part in hands-on activities and games, including escape room excursions, a puzzle hunt, mathematical paper folding, a jigsaw speed-solving competition, and mini golf.
AMM contestants work together on the OMEGA 2026 Puzzle Hunt.
