What is AMM?
American Masters of Mathematics is a new kind of math competition and festival.
The American Masters of Mathematics brings together many of the country’s strongest high school math students and their families for a weekend of competition and camaraderie. Students gather in Denver to take on demanding problems in a carefully proctored, proof-based exam. After the exam, students meet with expert graders to discuss their ideas and solutions.
The competition is just one part of a weekend-long celebration of math, featuring talks, puzzles, and hands-on activities for students, families, local math fans, and mathematicians. There’s time to explore new ideas, meet people with shared interests, and reconnect with familiar faces. Parents meet other parents of math-loving students, while conversations across generations bring everyone into a wider mathematical community.
