The American Masters of Mathematics Competition

Challenge yourself and rise to your potential.
Competitors will spend 4.5 hours solving five proof-based math problems, each worth seven points. Problems vary in difficulty from regional olympiad level (e.g., BAMO) to IMO level. To nurture math engagement, OMEGA encourages the best mathematical students to learn a wider range of topics than is normally offered in most olympiads. A syllabus of topics found in the AMM competition is available here.

Math is about community.
Family members and math teams will share in the joy of mathematics all weekend long. From family workshops on Saturday to a math festival on Sunday, you can cheer on your favorite young mathematician, get messy with hands-on math, peer at mathematical objects in a new light, learn new math games, venture on a puzzle hunt, use logic to escape a room, or compete in a SET tournament — the AMM brings math engagement to a new level!

Pitch your solutions to accomplished mathematicians.
Solutions will not be scored with a machine, but rather, by human graders who will carefully read and score each student’s solution. Students will have an opportunity to sit down with these mentor-minded, expert mathematicians — such as IMO medalists, industry professionals, and prize-winning math professors and educators — to discuss their solutions to select problems.
